Concerto “The Face of The Bass Clef” con Ornetrio Tangheri e i Lestofanti della 19F

A project rooted in research, shaped by experimentation, and driven by a distinctive contemporary musical language.

On May 9th at 6:30 PM, the Casa della Musica will host "The Face of The Bass Clef", a live performance by Ornetrio Tangheri and the Lestofanti della 19F.

• Mariano Bulligan – cello, compositions
• Giorgio Giacobbi – tenor sax

The project originates from a musical research journey led by Paolo Jus, focused on the repertoire of Ornette Coleman. Rather than a tribute, the work reinterprets Coleman’s legacy as a dynamic source for composition and improvisation.

Initially developed within the academic environment of the Trieste Conservatory, the project has grown into an independent artistic vision with a clearly defined identity. At its core lies an unusual chamber trio concept, centered on the lower register. This approach reshapes the ensemble’s balance, allowing all instruments to share the same sonic space and contribute equally to harmonic development.

The concert also marks the presentation of the trio’s debut album, "The Face of The Bass Clef", released in February 2026 by nusica.org.
